Cheona Publications new owner



Peter Midwinter acquires Cheona Publications following sudden death of Geoff Gamble.

Readers will be saddened to hear of the death of Geoff Gamble, a highly popular figure on the exhibition circuit over many years and the driving force behind Cheona Publications. Peter Midwinter of Railways Unlimited has now purchased Cheona and will be continuing the publication of the ‘Railways in Profile’ series. New volumes available are No.11 ‘British Railways Vans Volume 2’ (available now) and No.12 ‘Great Western Railway Stations Volume 2’ (available early 2001), priced at £9.95 each.

A new ‘Railways in Profile History’ series is also to be published in 2001 starting with No.1 ‘Illustrated History of ICI Hoppers’ and followed by No.2 ‘Illustrated History of the Railway from Altrincham to Chester and the Salt Branches of Northwich’.
